My Story

From Building Brands to Quietly Burning Out

I spent nearly two decades building brands and leading teams across Singapore and China with companies like Far East Organization, Agoda, Sina Weibo and Razorfish, mostly in the travel and lifestyle space.

On paper, life looked great. Inside, I felt increasingly empty and frustrated.

I was thinking about the next launch, the next move. My sleep wasn’t great. My body was tense. My mind was loud. And a question kept surfacing: Is this really it?

The Gap Year That Didn’t Go to Plan

So I gave myself a gap year. I needed to feel alive again. I got certified as an ontological coach. Started a coaching platform, that kinda ‘bombed’. Applied to 100 jobs. Got 0 offers.

And through the mess, I found something real: work that was purposeful and a life that felt meaningful.

Discovering the Power of Breath

At the same time, I started paying serious attention to my breathing, my nasal congestion was getting more serious, I was mouth breathing and having restless sleep. That led me to the Buteyko Method, and I realised how much our breath shapes our nervous system, anxiety and presence.

Out of this, I launched HAP, a wellness brand helping people beat snoring and nasal congestion with nose strips and mouth tape so they can breathe and sleep better. I got certified in Buteyko Breathing to support people with asthma, sinus issues, nasal congestion, snoring, sleep-disordered breathing and anxiety.

Today, these threads have come together in my work:

Ontological coaching – for introverted professionals, overthinkers and purpose-seekers who want to get out of their heads, reconnect with who they really are and build a life aligned with their values.

Buteyko breathing – for people tired of pushing through blocked noses, poor sleep and wired anxiety who are ready to retrain their breath and let their bodies truly rest.

HAP – practical tools for couples and families to retrain their breathing and sleep better together.

In simple terms…

I help you fix your breathing and free your mind, so you can live a life that feels honest, grounded and deeply meaningful.

What keeps me going?

I’m a husband and dad to a 13-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, who keep teaching me what presence and love look like in everyday life.

Underneath all this is my faith. I’m a Christian, and in the hardest parts of my journey it was clear to me: it had to be Jesus. Grace met me where my effort and resume couldn’t and that shapes how I see the people I work with.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"
