Finishing off with Fish & Chips @ Fountain on a Working Sunday

I have not worked on a Sunday officially in the office for a while, ever since the days when I was in the UAE. Due to the upcoming October Holiday period, there is a requirement for staff to work on 9/27 ( Sunday) and 10/10 (Saturday) to make up for 2 days so that everyone can hve an extended 8 day holiday break.

So, working away in the office we did.

After work, went to chill out at Xin Tian di with F & JJ at the Fountain (See The Fountain on Dianping.com. They serve very authentic Fish & Chips which I had been eyeing since the last time I was there with W, JJ and F as well one fine Sunday afternoon.

As a starter to my meal, I first had my familiar Margarita (RMB 60), which was quite well done, though I found the alcohol content alittle lacking.

Among the 3 of us, we had Fish & Chips (RMB 140) and a bucket of Mussels, served in white wine sauce and bread (RMB 105).

The Fish & Chips was great! They used cod fish fillet for the dish which was well cooked – soft and sweet. The batter was crisp and did not have the overly oily feeling. Fish portion was a little small, but considerig it was cod rather than the common dory, I shall let it pass. The fries was like “good” junk food. :)

The bucket of mussels was cooked in white wine sauce, which I felt was too buttery. F had this, so she could have taken it. For me, I think I would have puked. The mussels, however, were nice and succulent.

Enjoy 10% off if you use the ENJOY Shanghai card at this restaurant as well.
