Realize that there is no such thing as failure

I was sitting by the pool this afternoon reading a book which I had been putting off for a bit. I find the book intriguing with many insights that are true and yet goes against instinct (or what we have all been brought up to learn and understand).

Wayne W. Byer, the author of the book, says that there is no such thing as failure and with this understanding, you can achieve all that you can conceive in your ming. The principal of this boils down to the fact that “You never fail, you simply produce results.”

As an analogy, if you were attempting to hit a golf ball 100 yards, but had hit the golf ball 10 m in front of you, you had not failed, but only produced avery different result from your intention. You then need to recognize this and decide if the intention is strong enough for you to be willing to do anything to achieve it, i.e. hit 100 more balls, 1000 more balls, etc …

So profound a truth, yet lost on many people in these day and time because of societal conditioning us to believe that if we had not met the objectives, we had failed. Admit it, take responsibility and deal with it!

Taken in a positive light the same process would be acknowledge it, take responsibility, try again.

I am taking bold steps in the next 3 months to make a huge change in my life. Yet I feel strangely at peace … while the world around me swirls on about doom and gloom from the financial crisis, my focus is only on 1 thing … I am crystal clear as to what I want to achieve and nothing is going to stop me …

“You’ll see it when you believe it”, by Wayne W. Dyer
You'll see it when you believe it, by Wayne W. Dyer

This is the book that I am currently reading, which I aim to digest properly even while I am coping with all the multiple tracks of things happening in my life.
