e-file Taxing

:)

I just completed e-filing my tax for 2008. Have you done yours? Do remember to e-file or file in other historic manner that you might be more familiar with, or there shall be a Fine imposed on you on top of the Taxes which you would already have to Pay.

I found it quite a simple process, possibly due to the fact that I only have a single source of income, that single source being pitifully low, no other physical assets, no dependents, etc … It was just a couple of figures to key into the system and … Submit!

I guess, I will know soon how much Tribute I have to pay back to the Government for all my hard work in the year of 2008. Apparently, the harder you work (or, for the fortunate few who are good at talking and nothing else, the more you talk without working) the more you would have to pay back to society.

There are, of course, countless ways that such financial pay back to society does, indeed, improve the people’s way of life. It hires a good hundreds of people to crunch at numbers, and work at spreadsheets across various Investment company to make our money work harder for us (perhaps, the money had worked too hard? worked to death?). It also allows another couple of hundred people to work in nice cosy offices thinking up interesting policies to make life better (or more interesting) for people at large. Dreaming up fare hikes, and squeezing more people in trains to compete with the situation in China …

In spite of my grumbling, I must admit that in these Tough times, our Government is, indeed, making a difference and boosting the confidence of it’s people by devising innovative welfare schemes to save jobs, and not just aid the unemployed. Kudos!

It’s been wanting to rain for a couple of hours now and I am sick of the humidity … will it just RAIN!
