Jing (One Fullerton)

This is a rather embarrassing encounter, but I will still blog about it so everyone can learn from it.

One Fullerton is NOT Fullerton Hotel. They are connected by an underpass, but they are 2 separate entities. I had dinner with my old friends from sec sch at Jing, One Fullerton. I reached early and msged my friend that I had reached the lobby. The reply was “Restaurant is away from the Merlion on the ground floor.” There I was at Fullerton Hotel, wondering around … I saw Town (where they serve good champagne brunches on Sundays), I saw Post (nice chill out bar), I saw Jade (nice chinese restaurant), but I saw no Jing.

I, finally, went to ask the concierge and they politely told me that that was at One Fullerton across the street near the Merlion. I turned away and stopped right at the door, because I had no idea where I was suppose to go still. the nice gentlemen called me back and gave me directions. Phew! They must have thought I was a foreignor!

The food at Jing was good but expensive! I can name 2 other places with even better food, but would cost even more! Anyhow, thanks to chin and charles for the belated birthday treat. To thank them for the meal, and of course to satisfy my own desire for wine that evening, I opened a bottle of Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2006. It was heavenly! A 5-star recommendation goes with the bottle of wine. (Chin: Yes, it is fruity!)
