Image by John Griffiths via FlickrI went to watch The Dark Knight over the weekend. It was a very good show. Both in drama, theme and character development.
As the critics had lauded before, Heath Ledger‘s portrayal of the Joker was excellent. A true villain with style. Batman, played by Christian Bale, was also very good. The name Dark Knight sure has dual meaning. By Dark, it could be simply that the Cap Crusader fights only at night, but by Dark it could mean the darker side of life. When someone has power beyond normal human, that someone can be for the dark forces or they can do good. It is also unclear if by doing good, it would actually result in a good turns of event or otherwise. The Knight, of course, symbolizes hope of a hero to save the day.
I also like the soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and James Newton. The main theme is haunting yet majestic.
