Sorry folks for not updating for so damn long.
It appears I was a bit busy over this period of time, though on looking back now, I am not too sure what I was really busy with, nonetheless time passed and since I can’t get it back, I shall justify myself by looking and saying I’m busy.
Quite a short week this week, with the Deepavali Holiday and the off in lieu of Hari Raya that my company gave. It’s a great long weekend, though I feel extremely lazy this weekend. I slept in so late yesterday, it’s embarrassing. This afternoon, after going to the Doc in the morning and getting a Bday prezzie for a kid at Orchard, I came back and slept the afternoon away. I didn’t meant to, but I did.
It’s extremely expensive this whole see the doctor and get treatment part of my life. I need an avenue to quip about it and here goes: That’s $56 for a week, $224 for a month, $1008 for 4 months, $2688 a year just for medicine and that’s assuming the cost of the drug doesn’t increase. =( I’ve officially been uped to 4 tablets a week, and my dear doctor is now suggesting I consider surgery. 1st it is costly to stay on this drug on such high dosage for the long term, surgery might offer a chance to come down on the drug. 2nd, this drug has known side effects in cases where patients take an extremely large dose of, perhaps, 7 tablets a day which is to treat Parkinson’s Disease. So, considering that I might be looking at long term usage, she says there is no known literature of what side effects if might have, even though the doses I am on is considerably lower at 4 tablets a week, max 1 a day.
I was commenting to my mother at the hospital that it just seems such a strange notion that we work harder to feed our medical bills. Work more, just to stay alive. Forgive the very morbid thought, but it seems a lot simpler to just let the medical thingy get on and ta-dah we are done.
And, on a lighter note …
If you are into Fantasy shows, please please please go catch the show – Stardust. It’s an extremely lovely show and any fantasy loving person would fall in love with the show. The endearing Robert De Niro and the lovely Claire Daines. I shan’t speak about the plot here, as I really think that YOU should watch it. I watched the show many months ago in Dubai. I remember it was also my first time to Ibn Batutta Mall, which was the mall that had 5 different themes resembling various cultures around the world. Everyone whom I brought to that show was very satisfied with the movie, a farcry from Harry Potter, where I was the only guy who enjoyed the show, as I had watched all the previous installments.

Now, on the other hand, if you think you are a HUGE fantasy lover and want to attempt to watch The Seeker, PLEASE please please think TWICE! It is a terrible show, with plot that makes sense but is so predictable and forgettable. It has bad acting on everyone’s part. It’s was simply torturous sitting through that show!
I’m such a terrible shopper of kids stuff. I think it’s this HUGE generation gap lah … I had absolutely no idea what to get kids these days. They seem so into Xbox, Nintendo, etc, all these video games what simple car toys, or lego pales in comparison. I tried recalling my childhood toys and I drew a blank. I didn’t quite have much toys when I was younger. I have some cartoon figurines, some miniature cars, etc … the closest to a video game was my cousins and the closest to lego was my brothers. Well, I’m not complaining, just wondering how I passed time back then. =)
Heroes Season 2 … yea … thanks to my friends for the series … =)
