The little town of Fujairah, situated in the Emirate of Fujairah.
It’s the place away from modern civilization, where things only begin.
The following picture shows the place I live and work in, Fujairah Towers, the tallest building in Fujairah, standing at 45 floors. I live and work on the 42nd.
The bottom of Fujairah Towers is a 2 level shopping mall that consist only of a handful of shops (literally a handful of them!)
I live and work here. I do try to step out of that building for lunch, and I make my way down the road to the not so famous Karachi Restaurant for Indian food, or the opposite direction for KFC.
After work, when I am damn free and feel like it, I will either go to Siji Hotel for a drink and listen to the live Filipino band there (the better one in Fujairah already)
Or go to City Plaza Hotel, which has a few joints, a Filipino club, a Russian joint and etc … This one has terrible singing and bad ambiance.
Anyhow, my life in Fujairah begins when I cross that round about into the city. This is the gateway into the little city.
Here we also have an International Airport, but it is only for cargo and probably for very very very important people.
Notice how short all the buildings are in Fujairah. It is still an up and coming place, so probably in a few years time then we will start to see more tall structures. Do see the little “hut” like house that is KFC, one of the more popular places to eat. Buffet for lunch cost AED 22 and there’s free flow of everything. It’s too HEAVY, though.
And so this ends my tale of Fujairah for now …
to be continued … … ?! =)

Dear I have an offer to work in a Bank at Fujairah
Could you help me to give some detail about living expenses in Fujairah including one bed apt rent, meal and transportation expenses. What about weather conditions
Hi there,
Sorry for the late response.
Living expenses in Fujairah is slightly high.
Average price of food is AED 20 (approximately SGD 10) i.e. KFC 3-pieces chicken meal is around AED 18.
Oil prices are cheap, and I had a company car, hence transportation was taken care off. Cars are relatively cheap, ranging from AED 60,000 to much more.
For rental, I am afraid I can’t be certain.
Weather is Hot from Mar to Sep and cool from Oct to Feb.
Cheers!
