Friday at Ibn Batutta Mall

My first time to this mall, situated between Mall of Emirates and Jebel Ali. It’s a huge mall, consisting of various sections, Chinese, Indian, Persian, Tunisian, Egyptian, and one more which I can’t recall.

Noodle Bowl

Arrived at the mall after lunch at Noodle Bowl. Booked tickets to watch a movie – Stardust (brilliant show), and then spend 1 hour roaming the mall and exploring and taking pictures.

China Section of the Mall

China, Ibn Batutta

Indian Section

India, Ibn Batutta

Persian Section

Persia, Ibn Batutta

The central dome for the Persian section. It was beautiful. Starbucks was right underneath the dome and the it would have been lovely just to sit under the dome and drink coffee and relax.

Persian, Ibn Batutta

Tunisian section

Tunisia, Ibn Batutta

This section reminded me of Ceasars’ Palace in Las Vegas!

Ibn Batutta

This was the guy that tried to fly but wings melted in the sun.

The mall is interesting in the sense that it incorporates various cultures into a single place, they also have places all along the mall explaining to people the culture, history of the various culture. Various displays and exhibitions for the tourist and shoppers to amuse themselves with.

It was a good experience, and I wonder why people don’t really like the mall. (It’s not as crowded as MOE.)
