Vista+Headache+Social Media

My 1st encounter with Windows Vista was of helping my auntie solve her wireless networking problem over MSN and Skype. Unfortunately, the problem remains unsolved and I must concede defeat to the immense power of user-unfriendliness MS, where things just simply can’t work, but needs loads of tweaking and “arm twisting” before any decent work can get done.

Don’t complain lah!

Gives me headaches, which I am getting very very often these few days. Can’t understand! Is it due to lack of sleep or medicine?

Have been experimenting in a number of social media recently, as can be seen by all the latest addition to my blog. It’s intriguing in a certain way, but I find the repetition and similarities very irritating. Just 1 good one will do!

For a first-time user of Vista it is very user-unfriendly because everything has been re-arranged and relocated, so it takes a long time to try to find things that we are normally so used to locate.

I guess the slick presentation of the OS itself could be a consolation, though we all know how much they “referenced” from Mac OS. Hahaha.

but seriously, hor, I was looking at my auntie’s PC via a webcam … it was tough to navigate that way … if face to face might still be better.

    1. Sign up with Twitter
    2. Post a short message (about what you are doing right now)
    a. Via the Twitter Website
    b. Via Instant messengers (only GTalk, Jabber and AIM)
    c. Via SMS on mobile phone (but need to pay international SMS charge)
    3. Watch your friend’s post their messages.

In effect, it’s like a up to date status of you and your friends.
